Celestron created this mount with the clear objective of offering to the customer a mount with an unparalleled combination of mechanical stability, GoTo capabilities, and in particular value for money. The mount was to be sturdy yet portable, easy to use but versatile.

Tripod:	Heavy-duty steel tube tripod - the same massive unit that is also used in the much heavier EQ6 mount!

Dovetail Clamp System:	Yes - compatible with the Vixen standard

The electronics suite of the CAM GoTo mount is based on the practice-proven NexStar technology.

Slewing speed up to 4° per second through powerful servo motors

RS-232 port for computer access - a cable or Bluetooth connection is available separately.

Can be upgraded with a GPS module - the mount will then find the alignment stars automatically, you just need to center them.

Alignment modes: 3-star alignment / Quick Align / Auto Align (GPS module required)

Autoguider port for automatic guiding during long exposures

Good positioning precision through 3-star alignment. Even if the mount isn't exactly polar aligned.
