You have probably experienced this yourself: In our damp European nights even a dewcap cannot prevent the formation of dew on your telescope. Or possibly the telescope will remain clear, but your eyepieces drown in moisture - either way, it's usually time to call it a night when this happens.

Kendrick has developed a number of dew heaters for most telescopes, along with a line of controllers for all needs. Power supply is through a standard 12V cigarette lighter plug.

Kendrick Dewshields reduce the formation of dew on your telescope, and therefore effectively prolong observing nights. They are lightweight and flexible. For transport they can be folded down or wrapped around the tube for practically zero transport volume.

A nice side effect: The dewshields also keep out stray light! You should use them even in dry nights. Inside the dewcaps are non-reflective black.

Finding perfect focus isn't easy for astrophotographers. The eye tends to correct for minimal focus tolerances, but the camera will mercilessly show the mistake later on.

This type of focus aid is very popular. It is equally suited for focal photography (star clusters, nebulae ...) and planetary and lunar imaging through eyepiece projection.

A Very Simple Principle:

However minimal you are out of focus, you will have a triple image. Only when you have reached exact focus the three images will become one. This also works when focusing stars through the viewer of an SLR camera.

Only a perfectly collimated telescope will work at 100% performance. Laser collimators allow you to check collimation within moments and, if necessary, will allow you to collimate the telescope precisely.

Kendrick doesn't only offer a standard laser collimator, but also a "barlowed laser". This drastically enhances precision of collimation in short focal ratio Newtonians. Kendrick also offers a laser collimator for Schmidt-Cassegrains.

All Kendrick lasers are made of machined aluminium and are each individually alligned.

The tent is also ideal for shielded use of a computer, without disturbing other observers nearby with the bright display.

The tent fits into a compact bag and can be carried and stored easily.

The Kendrick Observing Tent resembles a small, mobile observatory. It provides shelter against wind and rain for the telescope AND the observer. After the observing night is over you just close the roof of the tent and your equipment will be well protected. Then you can lay down "next door" and rest from a beautiful night under the stars.

A modern design allows the tent to be set up within a few minutes by a single person.
