Using the IntelliScope with Computerized Object Locator
 |
The Intelliscope Object Locator is very easy to use:
- Just plug in the computer into the port on the Rocker-box. It is aligned automatically.
- Choose an object from the generous database, press Enter; the computer will then lead you to the object. One arrow shows you the horizontal movement, the other one the vertical movement.
- The Object Locator shows when you have reached the object. Just look through the telescope (with a low magnification) and you will see the object. |
 |
On the left image you see the easy to use controller. The buttons are illuminated, the display is easy to read. Arrows on the upper right hand side of the display show in which direction you have to move the telescope - the numbers next to the arrows inform you how much you need to move the telescope. Object Database
The generous object database contains more than 14,000 objects:
- 837 stars including binary or multiple stars and variable stars
- 8 planets
- 101 Messier objects
- 7840 NGC objects
- 5386 IC objects
- 99 customer defined objects
This product was one of Sky and Telescope's "Hot Products" in 2004. It makes observing much easier, especially for beginners. You can concentrate on what matters the most: Enjoying the beauty of the celestial objects without bothering with finding them in the fist place!
Normally it takes years of experience to get access to the world of faint deep sky objects. With the object locator you will be able to enjoy these rewarding objects much sooner. |

Intelli Scope
8
Aperture 203mm , Focal length 1200mm
Incl. Computerized Object Locator - 14,000+ Objects Database

 2" Metal Focuser |
The Intelli 8 is a compact Dobsonian telescope that brings a lot of fun. Carrying it is still no problem, and the telescope will fit nicely on the back seats of typical cars.
Observing
203mm aperture offer a lot of observing fun! Thousands of galaxies, star clusters, planetary nebulae and other faint deep-sky objects are within reach of this instrument. Not without a reason 200mm Dobsonian telescopes belong among the most popular instruments for amateur astronomers.
The telescope shows planets and the moon in wonderful detail. On the image further down you can see that the secondary mirror obstruction is quite small. As a result contrast and resolution are particularly good, even on difficult structures on the moon or Saturn's Cassini division. Jupiter's brightest moons appear as disks of clearly different sizes.
Slewing the Telescope
With a practical handle at the front end of the tube you can move the telescope smoothly and precisely. The telescope runs on a friction bearing using Teflon. In altitude a variable tension system prevents the telescope from moving on its own, for instance when exchanging eyepieces.
|
|

Four thin spider vanes for better contrast.
You can also see the practical handle for moving the telescope. |

The Intelli 10 is a very popular compromise between a very large aperture and still compact dimensions for transport. With a length of 121cm the tube still fits on most back seats of typical cars. In your flat or house the telescope doesn't take up too much space - much less than one square meter is enough.
Observing
254mm of aperture leave nothing to be desired. Many nebulae and galaxies begin to reveal details in a 10" telescope like this one. Globular clusters like M-13 are dissolved to the center into single stars.
The precisely figured parabolical mirror offers a diffraction limited perfomance. As a result the image quality is excellent even on the moon and the planets.

The Intelli 12 is a no-compromise telescope for users looking for maximum performance, even though portability suffers somewhat. Still, with a tube length of 150cm the telescope is reasonably portable.
The major advantage lies in the telescope's visual performance.
Observing
305mm of aperture offer innumerable details on the deep sky. Even after years of observing you will have seen only a fraction of the objects that are within reach of this telescope. Galaxies reveal their spiral arms, gas nebulae and planetary nebulae show a lot of splendid detail.
The precisely figured parabolical mirror offers a diffraction limited perfomance. As a result the image quality is excellent even on the moon and the planets.
