High Performance TS Zoom Spotting Scope 18 - 54 x 55mm with 45° Angled View - incl. Tabletop Tripod
Mechanical and Optical Excellence: This Spotting Scope is made to very high standards - both the mechanics and the optics leave nothing to be desired. Key features of this Spotting Scope are its beautiful finish, its sharp multi-coated optics and a very good Zoom eyepiece. The Spotting Scope is spraywater-proof and can therefore be used under less-than-perfect meteorological conditions. Outdoor Use: You can use this Spotting Scopes for nearly all purposes imaginable. Hunters, Birdwatchers, Stargazers and many others will enjoy using this Spotting Scope. Its key factor is its compact dimensions and the resulting excellent portability. You can take this Spotting Scope everywhere - on hiking trips or airline-travels. Features of this TS Spotting Scope: -- Comfortable 45° Angled View -- Multi-coated objective for superior light transmission and brighter, clearer images. The multi-coating also enhances contrast. -- A Zoom eyepiece is included, offering magnifications from 18x to 54x. The eyepiece offers a very good viewing comfort. -- The TS Spotting Scope has a very precise and smooth focus mechanism. -- The TS Spotting Scope has a metal body. It is very robust and will not be damaged during slightly bumpy transport.

TS Spotting Scope 20-60x - 80mm Objective Diameter
Available with Standard Achromatic Objective and with ED Objective

|
High Performance TS Zoom Spotting Scope 20 - 60 x 80mm with 45° Angled View - Available with Achromatic or Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) Objectives
Mechanical and Optical Excellence:
Two Variants Available - Achromatic Objective or Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) Apochromatic Objective Every lens will cause what is known as "false colour" - a purple or yellow coloured fringe around every bright object. This false colour is reduced by the use of two different glass substrates in each objective. Classical glasses allow for an enormous reduction in false colour - such a telescope or spotting scope is called an Achromat. The little remaining false colour does not disturb under normal observing conditions.

| High Performance TS Zoom Spotting Scope 22 - 66 x 100mm with 45° Angled View - Available with Achromatic or Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) Objectives

Classical glasses allow for an enormous reduction in false colour - such a telescope or spotting scope is called an Achromat. The little remaining false colour does not disturb under normal observing conditions. For astronomical use the achromatic objective is perfectly suited for rich-field use. You will not notice any image breakdown in comparison with the ED objective on gas nebulae, galaxies and clusters of stars. If you plan to use very high magnifications with our fixed focal length eyepieces you will notice the colour fringe around bright objects like the moon and the planets. For these purposes we recommend the ED variant which will show more details on such objects.

Scope of Delivery: |
| Two Variants: Normal Objective and ED Objective The Horizon 80 is available in two variants. The standard variant comes with a normal achromatic lens. It offers a good image quality and a good correction of false colour. Images are bright and contrasty. Around edges (e.g. a dark object in front of a bright background) a coloured fringe will appear, though, which reduces contrast slightly. For most uses this does not pose any problem and we recommend this version to most users. For more demanding users we offer the Horizon with ED lens. Through the use of a ED glass element (Extra-low Dispersion) colour correction is significantly reduced. This is a big advantage if you want to discern small details in the feathers of a bird, or for astronomical use. |
